Patricia wanted to name the product something that reflected the decadent quality of the product, so she decided on "Ganache", a French cooking term which refers to a super-rich combination of chocolate and cream which forms the basis of many chocolate desserts.

"I wanted to make a lip balm that was protective but not waxy like the other brands," said GANACHE FOR LIPS creator and owner Patricia West. "I think what we have here is something really luscious and decadent, really more of a lip conditioner."
